GILBEY HOUSE

A refurbishment of a two level penthouse located in an old gin warehouse in Camden. Materials were chosen taking cues from the buildings past use.  Ceilings were stripped back to expose the structure above, a new kitchen was located in a copper lined timber ‘shack’ with hinged panels to separate it from the main living area. A new oak staircase featured a shot blasted stainless steel mesh balustrade and an internally illuminated Corian handrail.
