A fitout of a new-build penthouse in the London Docklands overlooking the Millennium Dome.
Sitting on the 12 and 13th floor of a newly constructed tower block, the property comprised a large, open lower floor leading out to a very generous terrace, and an upper floor with balconied bedrooms and ensuites.
Designed as a speculative fitout, the scheme employed a light and airy palette interspersed with deep contrasting elements. A large format tile was laid to the ground floor and white-oiled oak framed picture windows looking out toward the Thames.
The kitchen was surfaced in glossy laminates and back-painted glass, and a included an island clad in toughened mirror.
Conceived as a centrepiece to the ground floor, the staircase was a carefully crafted piece of joinery with the stepping of the treads mirrored on the underside of the flight.
Clad in white oiled-oak, the stair incorporated a concealed fire curtain, allowing it to remain open to the lower space.
The master bathroom featured, book-matched, large format marble slabs with heat-blackened oak veneer joinery. The ground floor powder room employed vivid geometric tiles and sculptural white fittings.
