ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES
As an RIBA Chartered Practice, we believe that exceptional architecture is not just about creating beautiful structures; it’s about understanding the unique vision and needs of each client. We value the relationships we build with our clients and believe that open communication and feedback are vital to achieving the best results.
Our clients value our approach, as over the past 15 years, we have had the privilege of accompanying many clients through different stages of their lives, starting with their first flat and eventually helping them build their family home years later. By establishing clear expectations and defined processes from the initial consultation to the handover, the clients are informed every step of the way, especially when it comes to budget, timeline, and design decisions.
We offer a full range of services designed for discerning clients who value expertise, innovation, and attention to detail in every project. Our services include feasibility studies, concept designs, planning applications, detailed construction packages, contract administration, and project management through the various stages of the project.
With extensive experience in residential refurbishments, home extensions, and new builds throughout London, the UK, and beyond, we possess the expertise to handle both standard architectural projects and the complexities involved in projects that require heritage and conservation considerations. Additionally, we provide outstanding interior design services for both residential and hospitality projects, creating functional and visually appealing environments that meet the unique needs of each client.
Whether you are embarking on a project for the first time or you have experience under your belt, the process remains the same:
Initial Consultation
We begin with an initial meeting to talk about your ideas, dreams, and needs. Whether you have a clear vision or just a rough idea, we listen, ask questions, and get to know your preferences. They’ll help you define what you want, understand your budget, and discuss the best way forward.
Design Concept
After gathering all the information, we start presenting ideas and creating a design concept. You’ll see the first drafts of the design, including layout, style, and features. It’s an opportunity to brainstorm and refine the design to ensure it fits with your needs, personality, and the site itself.
Planning Permission and Approvals
Should the project require Planning, we submit the application to the local authorities at this stage and liaise with them throughout the planning process to obtain the necessary consents.
Detailed Design Development and Construction Information
Once the concept has been approved, we enter the production phase, creating detailed tender package with technical drawings and specifications for the contractor to price the project accurately. The detailed design package eventually gets developed into construction drawings and specifications for the contractor to build from.
Selecting Contractors
The tender package is then issued to 3 to 4 different contractors or even possibly going to only 1 with the intention of a negotiated contract. The contractors on the long list should have experience with similar projects. This way, you can alleviate the stress of searching for the right professionals for the job. We will manage the tender process including the negotiation and interview and possibly seeing some of their work examples to help the client make their decision.
Project Management, Construction, Completion and Handover
After the contractor has been appointed and a start on site agreed, throughout the construction period, we can offer contract administration services along with regular site visits. During these visits, the programme will be closely monitored to ensure that it stays on schedule and within budget. The quality of workmanship is also assessed to guarantee that it aligns with the clients’ expectations. Once everything has been completed and work checked to make sure it meets the agreed standards, we hand over the space to you, making sure it’s all ready for you to enjoy!
Post-Completion Support
Now that the project has been handed over, there is still a defects liability period of 6 to 12 months where you have some time to test that things are running the way it should and we can still be there to help. If anything from the work completed needs addressing or even you want to make future improvements, we would be still here to advise.
