A reception and ground floor fit-out in a residential tower.
The scope comprised an entrance corridor, letterboxes, reception desk and lift lobby. A monochromatic palette and a language of horizontal, staggered strips was used to create a soft, lapping contours on the floor which flow past walls clad in glossy white vertical slats. Areas of dragged, decorative plaster and low-iron toughened mirror were added to the walls to add texture and increase the perceived size of the space.
A reception desk was formed by staggering strips of black Corian both vertically and horizontally. Behind the desk, hidden storage was incorporated into the rhythm of the wall cladding.
In the selection of all materials, fire performance was a key factor.
